This month we added the ability to format text fields based off a numeric field: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-may-2018-feature-summary/#conditionalFormatting
We also are planning on adding a feature that will let you format your text based on comparisons. I’ll update this idea based on our progress on that feature.
We recently released the ability to export data from tiles and visuals to a CSV file. This may work for y’all as a workaround until we add the ability to directly copy and paste the visual or data. You can read more about it here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/powerbi/archive/2016/01/06/power-bi-service-update-0106.aspx#exportTile. Be sure to let us know what you think about the feature!
Great idea! We’d like to add more visualization types in the future, and the votes that this item receives will help us prioritize them.
The relative date slicer (a Preview feature as of June ‘17) gets us close to this with the ’This Month’ or ‘This Year’ settings. That is a dynamic date selection that updates based on the current system date. We plan to add a ‘YTD’/‘MTD’ option to specifically select a range from the start of the month/year up to today, hopefully that’ll address the remaining requirements!
Hey everyone! I’m updating this suggestion to “backlog” to better indicate it’s current state. We really want to do this and it’s definitely on our backlog to do. However, we aren’t currently planning or working on it, as our focus right now is on a couple of other “bigger” investments, such as printing to PDF in Desktop and expand and collapse on matrix row headers. I will update the suggestion again when we start planning the feature, and in meantime, please do keep voting and commenting. Thanks again for your patience and feedback!
Hi everyone. This is something we’d like to get to in the future but don’t have any plans for at the moment.
We’re looking into this request, thanks for everyone’s votes and comments.
It looks like many of the requests will be addressed by the new ‘Sticky filters’ capability. Now when you log out of Power BI and come back to a report, the same items will be selected as when you left.
For those who’re looking to have a ‘last month’ selection, the relative date slicer might help.
Those with comments about currencies where having multiple selected makes the report meaningless – the report will load with whatever selection the author saved, so if you save it with one currency selected your users will see that by default.
If there are scenarios that these features don’t address, please let us know in your comments – if you are really specific it’ll help us build the feature to work just the way you want!

Your Mockup is Fantastic DaveG !
Must have feature!
Hi everyone, wanted to provide an update on this feature. We’ve started work on Export to PDF for Power BI reports in the service, and you’ll see if come in two parts, Initially, you’ll have the ability to export as you do today with PPTX, where you export the file on demand. In the second part, you’ll have the ability to attach a PDF to an e-mail subscription and set a schedule for it.
In addition, as an FYIm the newly announced paginated reports (RDL) in Power BI has export to PDF support already in place, so I encourage you to check that out as well.
