Another update on this item – users now have the ability to set up scheduled subscriptions with paginated reports and 6 different formats, along with parameters per subscription to allow further personalization. There is also now the ability to create paginated reports against any Power BI dataset in the service, and we’re planning to add drillthrough from Power BI to Paginated Reports in the short term.
We still have plans to support e-mail attachments for Power BI reports as well in the coming months, and we’ll share more specifics once we get closer to starting that work.Mark Price commented
I work with Pharmaceutical and NHS clients that need to look at account level prescribing and outcomes data so I would use Power BI to filter on diseases and accounts then print a pdf report that could be used for business cases and/or be shared at meetings. The functions I would need would be:
1). Format the output of the report in the same way that you can build a visual for the iphone
2). Use the filters in the report to produce the level of detail required for the pdf report
3). Once report is ready have the ability to print report pages as pdf.
This would be used by sales people, NHS medical professionals and business administrators and Pharma medial professionals.
I have clients holding back on implementing Power BI becaise it does not have this functionMark Price commented
This is the function stopping me sell Power BI in to two pharmaceutical companies. Could you create a make report section in view? This would work in the same way you have created the IPhone view.
My clients want to create several bespoke reports using slicers on multiple pages then hit print to pdf.
