Thank you everyone for the feedback! As a first step, we are now working on a functionality to persist your last state on report pages in the Power BI service. This will essentially remember all your filter and slicer states, so you don’t have to re-select everything once you navigate away or refresh the page. We will continue to build on this and add more functionalities (such as saving various filter combinations via. bookmarks) in the near future.
Hi everyone. I’m really excited to say we’ve started work on this, we’re planning to address two common use cases for this. First, having slicers that appear on every page so you can see them as a restatement, but keeping the selected value in sync across all those pages. That way you select once and see all the slicers updated. Secondly, you asked to have the first page in a report contain all the slicers – if that’s what you’re looking for you can set up the same synchronized slicers but hide them where you don’t want them visible (see the new Selection pane launched in October!)
Thanks for your continued support of the suggestion – we’ll keep you updated when we ship the feature.
We’re working on this and you’ll see an update very soon!
We’ve begun work on this feature! Our plan is to filter visuals that would be cross-filtered or cross-highlighted when you select in the first visual. That way, if you use Edit Interactions to turn off filtering/highlighting, drilling won’t impact it either.
Stay tuned for updates!Anthony Cipolla commented
....just discovered that Pivot Table Drill downs don't affect other visuals!!!! Looks likes this is affecting lots of folks.... Please can this be reprioritised????
