This seems like a basic governance feature. Currently running into an issue where we can't tell what happened with a recent report.
I hadn't used Power BI in a couple months and recently had a client request the ability to do this. Thought maybe this simple feature would've been added considering the vote count and age. Disappointed that I have to go back and say no essentially forcing them back to Excel.
Very frustrating that for my users to export a pivot table to Excel, I must get involved and re-create measures and pivot table to replicate what's in Power BI. This seems like pretty low hanging fruit compared to other ideas that have more votes. There's the phrase that after OK and Cancel the next most used button is Export to Excel and not having this work fully is a pain.
Totally agree with this one. Many users don't have the knowledge or time to dig around and make sure to enable all the features that will help.
Frustrating because we really need this but there are only 179 users as of this post that need this? Very annoying that the Select All disappears when I do a Search.
Just ran across this limitation. *insert facepalm gif*
One key example of when I need this is when I use the DAX path() function to lay out a hierarchy and after separating the columns using pathitem(), i may add new columns that i need to reference but want to strategically place them to make the most sense and i can't.
Checking with Will Thompson and moving status to backlog
This is a bit ridiculous that when we go to focus on a graph, the text actually gets smaller and the table/matrix shrinks. This kind of functionality is critical for many of those whose eyes aren't the best and need to see text in a larger font.
Thanks everyone for your feedback. We’ve started to explore various options to increase this limit. Stay tuned for updates.
Definitely need to increase the export size in Power BI Desktop. I often export to excel to check against other sources and 30k rows limits how much I'm able to check.
