Thanks for all of your votes. We’ve started work on this feature. It’s not available yet (so we’re not marking it as completed), but will update you all when it is available.

Agree with this one. Would make it a lot easier to develop/test/try new reports and dashboards related to an App wthout publishing to all App users.

Hi everyone – Another update regarding this feature. We’re working through development and found a few challenges that have increased the cost and will push this feature release to the end of September (instead of my previous ETA of end of August). The initial support will enable refreshing datasets that connect to Online and On-prem sources but that do not “mash up” data between them (i.e. no Merge/Append or other query references involved). We will enable full mashup scenarios in a second phase, coming later this year.
Thanks everyone for your interest on this capability – Please stay tuned for further updates as we get towards the end of September.
We’re actively working on adding IntelliSense support for M authoring in the Advanced Query Editor, Formula Bar and Custom Column dialog. Expect to see these capabilities in one of our next few monthly updates, hopefully before the end of 2016. : )
We have started work on building this feature so you can share reports with others, much the same way as you can share dashboards today. Thank you to everyone who voted for and commented on this idea. Over the coming months as we design and develop the feature we will use your feedback to shape what we build.
Update: We have released a new navigation, which automatically groups all shared items by owner name. Take a look at it here and see if it helps: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-the-new-power-bi-navigation-preview/
Also, we are working on allowing you to group dashboards and reports into one level of folders when you distribute them to other. It will be previewed early next year and we think it will help you with the request below.
Hey all – we’re looking into how best to tackle this and other filter-related functionality.
If you have a few moments, please take the following survey to share your thoughts. The survey takes ~10 minutes to complete, and will help ensure that what we’re building meets your needs. We appreciate your feedback!
Great idea. We have the concept of ‘favorites’ in the mobile iOS app, which we could bring into the dashboards with a personal dashboard too.Jim Lenox commented
absolutely necessity for users to combine their favourite visuals/reports shared with them into one dashboard . the current "Read only content cannot be pinned" is useless and frustrating.
