Another update on this item – users now have the ability to set up scheduled subscriptions with paginated reports and 6 different formats, along with parameters per subscription to allow further personalization. There is also now the ability to create paginated reports against any Power BI dataset in the service, and we’re planning to add drillthrough from Power BI to Paginated Reports in the short term.
We still have plans to support e-mail attachments for Power BI reports as well in the coming months, and we’ll share more specifics once we get closer to starting that work.Nagaraj Shanmugam commented
this feature should be made available for Report, Dashboard, BookMarks
We’re pleased to announce that in the May release of Power BI Desktop you can now define incremental refresh policies for your models.
At present these only apply once the model is published to a Premium workspace in the Power BI service; we’ll be bringing it to all Pro users in the future.
You can read more about it in our blog here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-may-2018-feature-summary/#incrementalRefresh
We’re going to leave this idea open for now, so please give us your feedback while we’re in this preview phase!
Until we have support for Government Community Cloud tenants you can evaluate the service by using an alternate e-mail. For example see https://support.powerbi.com/knowledgebase/articles/594480-signing-up-for-power-bi-with-a-new-office-365-trial
Thank you all for the feedback since our last update. We’re working on building a new navigation experience to allow authors to customize a folder-like structure for all the contents within Power BI Apps. Stay tuned!
Thank you for your feedback.
We are planning to add this capability as part of other Admin controls changes through API.
For the first phase, we will support the control in the embedded object level (i.e. report/ Dashboard/ Tile)
Wanted to post an update to one of the pieces called out for this item – In a future update for the product, we’re planning to do work to introduce support for ADFS/AAD in Power BI Report Server, and at the same time do work to enable your app to override user authentication in a secure way.
The relative date slicer (a Preview feature as of June ‘17) gets us close to this with the ’This Month’ or ‘This Year’ settings. That is a dynamic date selection that updates based on the current system date. We plan to add a ‘YTD’/‘MTD’ option to specifically select a range from the start of the month/year up to today, hopefully that’ll address the remaining requirements!
With the June Desktop update, we now support updating your chart fonts to any of the fonts we currently support for textboxes. Learn more in our blog: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-june-feature-summary/#fonts
We will be working on allowing you to use your custom installed fonts as well in a future release.
We are investing to constantly improve the custom visuals and the platform. performance, reliability, feature-set, etc.
Most visuals are maintained by the community, and we encourage them to improve. recently the custom visuals gallery was migrated to the Office store, where reviews and ratings are available, so I encourage you to go and review visuals and ask for features directly from the developers.
You can also use the dedicated community site to suggest ideas: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Custom-Visuals-Ideas/idb-p/CustomVisualsIdeas
Thanks for your interest in this connector! With this update of the Power BI Desktop, there is now a preview of the PowerApps Common Data Service connector. You can read more about the preview here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-february-feature-summary/#cds
Once the Common Data Service team expands the number of people with access to the connector to everyone, we will remove the “beta” tag and close the suggestion as completed.
We started the process of supporting custom visuals for Export to PowerPoint. you can expect some of the more popular custom visuals to be supported soon.
Note that power bi visuals form the marketplace that are power bi certified support this feature
