As well, a green check mark instead of a loading circle on tables that have finished loading could help to highlight which tables are taking the longest to refresh. That would improve m code debugging.

I think there are a few bugs that need to be addressed here. The team has blamed printer functionality as the reason this doesn't work properly. So the next best option is to export high resolution PDFs that can be printed on whatever printer. PDFs of a standard dimension would go a long way to solve this problem.

    rlansing commented  ·

The printing function on the site is very buggy, especially if in focus mode, but more importantly, we need to get data out in a clean easy way. Desired functionality would allow us to print multiple pages of data from a single visual (table/matrix). I would like to avoid sending users to the export data button to have them re-format in excel. As well, sending them to the analyze in excel function turns power bi into just a database, which I am trying to avoid. Any updates on work in progress? Is this at least on the team's radar?

I would add a label density option, to control the number of labels visible (ex. every 1, 2, 3 data points) to prioritize visual quality over accuracy.

We are investing to constantly improve the custom visuals and the platform. performance, reliability, feature-set, etc.
Most visuals are maintained by the community, and we encourage them to improve. recently the custom visuals gallery was migrated to the Office store, where reviews and ratings are available, so I encourage you to go and review visuals and ask for features directly from the developers.
You can also use the dedicated community site to suggest ideas: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Custom-Visuals-Ideas/idb-p/CustomVisualsIdeas

The globe map is a good example of really poor visual quality, but a great idea that needs refinement.

I was hoping Tooltips would provide this functionality, but it just places a count of text items in the hover window.

In the map visual, if a state is referenced, I believe it draws the state border already.

I think if you edit interactions and change from highlight to filter it may fix this issue.

I think you may need to explain this a little better. You can have the chart ignore the slicer using edit interactions, is that what you are looking for?

I believe it does work that way, at least in the desktop program.

It's funny to read this and then look at the other ideas, because they are asking the exact opposite. Can you give an example of what is too technical?
