Fully support the idea! I'd propose following: offer user an option to select Bookmarks Group when "Export to PDF". In this case user can configure set of bookmarks with necessary filters, consolidate them into a specific group and then use it for PDF export, so PDF-Exporting function would only export those bookmarks in the same order as in group (with all corresponding bookmarked filters).

Awesome idea! Would be great to combine "Export to PDF" and "Bookmark Groups" functionality.
Something like: click "Export to PDF", popping up dialogue shows list of bookmarks and bookmark groups with checkbox, allowing to select what to export. With a an option "each Group to an individual PDF file".

    This would cover other ideas

From the comments and scenarios everyone’s describing, the problem is really that you need a way to allow end-users to change which measure is displayed in a visual on the fly.

As a few folks have mentioned, the FORMAT function might help in the interim, as long as you’re showing the results in text rather than a chart. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dax/format-function-dax has details on how to use that.

The expression-based formatting feature that we’ve started work on may help to a certain extent, but that’s really designed to change a visual’s properties rather than the data type or format. We’ll look into extending that work to support this scenario as well.

We’re moving this to Backlog status – our core plan is to build ways that end-users can change the dimensions or measures that are visible in a chart on the fly. They’ll be able to explore much more freely rather than…

Would be awesome to have this. Currently, lack of this is a showstopper for using mentioned technique.

Must have, agree. Have several scenarios where it would be the best solution.

The relative date slicer (a Preview feature as of June ‘17) gets us close to this with the ’This Month’ or ‘This Year’ settings. That is a dynamic date selection that updates based on the current system date. We plan to add a ‘YTD’/‘MTD’ option to specifically select a range from the start of the month/year up to today, hopefully that’ll address the remaining requirements!

New slicer is awesome, it handles many scenarios, but not everything, unfortunately.
When it is saved in "relative" mode (preferable for us), user can't change it back to "between", so cannot select "3 months ago", "2 years ago" etc. I don't think it is possible to cover all required "relative periods", so would be great to give users an option to switch it back to "between" mode.
