It would be nice if you make it work just as flexible as in Excel labels to start. So far, it is really difficult to show a simple line chart with 2 measure, since sometimes they overlap or change position that does not make any sense.

Please add this feature! Today We can add a slicer to filter another slicer, but this is totally inefficient since colateral work of editing interactions become huge and really annoying.

    So, please:

    1) Allow the filter a slicer
    2) Improve the "edit interactions" funcionality. It would be great if we can "affect all visual", or "affect none".

Hi everyone! To give you an update here, we’ve begun work on this feature!

The first step will be bringing icon sets as a conditional formatting option. You’ll be able to set rules and icons, very similar to what you can do in Excel today. We want to get this out to you quickly, so it’ll be available in table and matrix visuals only to begin with.

Based on the comments on this thread, we’re focusing on the indicators first and looking for feedback on how soon after we need to follow with model-based KPIs. Please keep letting us know in the comments if you need model support for this too!

Thanks for your patience and for engaging and voting!

From the comments and scenarios everyone’s describing, the problem is really that you need a way to allow end-users to change which measure is displayed in a visual on the fly.

As a few folks have mentioned, the FORMAT function might help in the interim, as long as you’re showing the results in text rather than a chart. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dax/format-function-dax has details on how to use that.

The expression-based formatting feature that we’ve started work on may help to a certain extent, but that’s really designed to change a visual’s properties rather than the data type or format. We’ll look into extending that work to support this scenario as well.

We’re moving this to Backlog status – our core plan is to build ways that end-users can change the dimensions or measures that are visible in a chart on the fly. They’ll be able to explore much more freely rather than…

That would be so useful and would make the reports faster! I am working in a financial reports, and I was obligated to create an "Amount measure" and an "% measure" since i can not create just one u.u

Please! Because it is really time consuming to manage the objests without a proper name.

The idea would be to have the option "Export to PowerPoint" in Power BI Service based on Bookmarks, not in reports pages (or maybe being able to choose)!

The relative date slicer (a Preview feature as of June ‘17) gets us close to this with the ’This Month’ or ‘This Year’ settings. That is a dynamic date selection that updates based on the current system date. We plan to add a ‘YTD’/‘MTD’ option to specifically select a range from the start of the month/year up to today, hopefully that’ll address the remaining requirements!

In MS Excel I can create a date slicer and select for example '2016-april' (or whatever). After that, with cube functions, I create a date range from that date ('2016-april') till one year before ('2015-may' in this case). It works pretty nice, but I can not do that in Power BI. Can we add this? It will become a possibility soon?
