Simultaneously open Fields- & Format tab on the Visualisations pane
Now you have switch between Fields- and Format tab all the time when creating/ formatting visuals. And when you switch from Format to Fields and back, all Format options you expanded are collapsed again. It would be nice to (toggle) them both open at the same time. There is more than enough spa...
