Partition small multiples by both row and column
Small multiple row/column partitioning: This feature would make the grid layout dynamic based on the contents of the row and column axes. For example, user drags "Month" to the row axis and "Year" to the column axis, and generates a small multiple grid that is 12 rows tall by n Years wide.
