    Open Hiperlink in Same Tab

We need to link 2 power bi embedded reports together using urls to move between them. What seemed like an easy task is turning difficult as powerbi doesn't allow hiperlinks to be opened in same tab, and there's no way to do it except using the powerbi Dashboard service, which hasn't got the appeal and customization that the dashboard already created inside the report has. All it's needed is for a configuration on the "Action" submenu in Buttons to allow opening hiperlinks in the same tab.

Opening links in the same tab

I have created several reports for our operations department that are all combined in an app. We use a touchscreen where the users are able to easily select and display the reports which all have their unique URL. By clicking the link, the report will open up in a new tab (even though it is part of the same "app"). There should be an option to have the URLs open in the same tab - especially if you are inside the same app.

I found out that this topic seems to be around here since a couple of years already. It is unbelievable for me that this still has not been solved yet (added as an option) after this long time.

I have no hope that this will be solved anytime soon, so I would be happy about any suggestion / work around that someone can come up with. Is there maybe some extension for Google Chrome, MS Edge, Firefox that you know of?

Open custom link in the same tab does not work

Open custom link in the same tab does not work Online Power BI -> Created an Image Tile -> Entered the URL of an existing report within the same workspace -> Selected "No" for the "Open custom link in the same tab?" question, still opens the report on the same tab! Need to open reports on a separate tab.

Open web URL in the same tab

I have created buttons with links to web pages. I would like to have the option to choose if the web page should open in the same or a new tab. I googled from some solution, but there does not seem to be one at the moment, others seem to have identified this as a limitation as well. Would be great to have that options.

Possibility to choose how a URL shall open

I would like to have the possibility to choose, in Conditional Formatting when you turn on Web URL, how the URL shall open. In same tab, in new tab, in new window.....

Power BI Paginated Report - Action - Go to report missing / Go to URL (open in same window)

In native SSRS it is possible to call the report itself and hand over the necessary parameters.

On a specific cell, you go to properties and enable Action and choose "Go to report" (it is possible to achieve the same behavior even with "Go to URL"). Then you can use the report and every time, when you trigger that action you keep using the same report on the same tab in your web browser.

If you want to implement the same functionality in Power BI Paginated Report you don't have the option "Go to report". However, you can work around it by using "Go to URL". Then you can use the report and every time, when you trigger that action you keep using the same report but a new tab in your web browser opens. With every additional click on the action cell, you get one more tab in the web browser. Which is unusable.

Therefore, I would like to see either "Go to report" action in Report Builder or a possibility to choose whether a "Go to URL" should open a new window or not.

Power BI embedded - picture URL in dashboard

We are going to use embedded dashboards and reports in our organization. In som of the dashboards I have added af tile which consist of a picture with an link/URL. This reference to another webapplication (in this case a rather simple budget application). When using the dashboard in the Power BI service and click on the picture it just works fine. I get redirected to the budget module (in opens up in another tab in the browser. However - when I do the same thing (click on the tile) in Power BI embedded, it simply do not work. I should be possible (in Power BI embedded) to click on a tile and it simply opens the browser and direct you to the web application. It should also be possible to get directed to the URL in the iFrame (thoug I do prefer that it opens another tab in the browser). This could open to all kinds of possibilities. FYI - I have not found a work around for this particular problem, though you can add a text field and insert a link/URL in the tile. It is however not a pretty solution in the dashboard.
