Bold, Italic, Underline and Strikethrough on Conditional Formatting Tables and Matrix

As many ideas have been published here, but none was implemented in the way MANY of us want. I will try and make my appeal!

The idea is pretty simple, we want to be able to conditionally format specifc rows or columns with the following options: Bold, Italic, Underline and Strikethrough.

That would happen for a specific row header, specific row values, entire row, or the same logic applied to columns!

    Example:

    Products - Price - Quantity - Revenues

    A 2 3 6

    B 1 1 1

    C 5 5 25

    SubTotal1 x 9 32

    D 10 1 10

    E 3 5 15

    F 2 2 4

    SubTotal2 x 8 29

    Total x 17 61

We want to be able to conditional format the SubTotal1, SubTotal2 and Total entire row, or only header, or only values in Bold, Italic, Underline or Strikethrough!

    Sorry for terrible example.

New Card (123) visual individual filter context from pane on each metric

I have been looking into using the newly released card visual (123) and it does not seem possible to apply individual filters to each different metrics.

For example, if I have 3 metrics, I would like to apply:

    • Filter A to Metric 1
    • Filter B to Metric 2
    • Filters A & B to Metric 3

A common use case I have had is using a single metric (like a total) but needing to display different filtered versions of it in cards (i.e. for a sales region, etc). Currently I need to create a new visual for each filtered metric. The other solution is to create a custom metric with the filtered behavior but this can present other unwanted behaviors or results in certain scenarios, and it requires multiple metrics that could be solved with one, making report maintenance more challenging and bloating the model. It seems like adding individual filter context to each included metric on the new card visual would be a game-changer.

Data Alerts on Card Visuals with Filters

Would like to alert team mates when, say a specific member reaches certain threshold of sales (represented by the Sales Units Card filtered to member level), from an overview sales dashboard.

decks or cards, which on a (slicer) selection changes to a different visual

Have an option like Cognos Analytics where you have a deck/cards and depending on the (slicer) selection it will show you a different card that has a unique visual. In this way you don't have to use and create multiple bookmarks to be able to change a visual or view. If in a case you have a different hierarchy per division you can't change table based on the selection, but you have to create multiple bookmarks and buttons, as bookmarks don't work on the slicer selection.

Adjustable columns in multi-row card visual

I would like to be able to adjust the column width of the Multi-row card visual, and/or have it dynamically adjust. Right now I have the same column width for my 2 digit division number and my 30 character customer name. The division column looks huge, and the customer names still cut off. Additionally, I need the option to force all the data to be in one line/row.

Group of visuals - copy as image as a whole

    Hi!

I would like to share with you this idea:

Given a group of visuals (already grouped as one element) allow user to copy the whole set as image.

An example: a line chart with some cards (in front of the line chart) indicating some info about certain dates (i.e. close of season sales in June or December with data about current year's sales) and a rectangle shape (in front of all visuals) to avoid some user interaction. Everything is grouped as one visual. It can't be copied as one image.

I think it will complete the group's functionality allowing users to take the group as it is, as a whole.

    Thanks in advance.

Freezing of table columns and rows & / or visuals

Dear Team , Part 1) There are various times when the table visual used has data which is so long (height wise) that it exceeds page . Now if we are able to freeze column headers and last row i.e of total . Then it would be much insightful to user to keep track of which data he is looking into when he scrolls down the page . Part 2 ) Why only we should restrict our self to columns and rows . Why can't we have some visuals which can be freezed . For eg there is a card visual which shows the summation amont of sales and a date slicer , Why should the user again and again scroll on top of the page to find these visuals . instead if we have these visuals floating it will be much user friendly and a great feature too. Improve Default Visuals

Power BI has been out for awhile now and, while it's great that Vertipaq and M engine have dedicated resources, there appears to be little love for improving the default visuals. There are still *many* giant gaps missing from almost every one of them. This failure to address the visual aspect of PBI is what's preventing the Tableau and Qlik communities from jumping ship. Their response is ALWAYS, "the visuals can do 80% of what I need but it's missing the other 20%". Unfortunately this missing 20% cannot be "hacked" like it can be Tableau - if it's not an option in PBI then you cannot do it. Custom visuals do not help with these 20% either - if I want to change the word "Goal" to "Last Week" in the KPI visual then I should be able to do that without spending 100 hours creating my own custom visual that will eventually break. General examples include: Missing spacing options, e.g. fixing the Y-axis space on the Clustered Bar Chart to prevent it cutting off text. Missing formatting options, e.g. I cannot Left Align the Card visual. Blade inconsistencies, e.g. half the visuals have the "General" option down the bottom of the blade vs the other half have it up the top (same goes with X-axis and Y-axis being flipped!). I can list *literally* 10+ missing standard features for each default visual, aside from the new Table and Matrix ones - nice work on those! Reach out to me via email and I will gladly setup a meeting to assist in designing the requirements for each. Long story short: stop treating default visuals as second class citizens.
