Add "Auto" in display units drop down (Like Card visual) under field formatting option for Matrix Visual.

Power BI - Card (New) Bug - New Card Visual > Format > Callout > Label, missing option on where to position the label

After I updated to the November version of PowerBI, I lost the option on where to position a label under New Card Visual > Format > Callout > Label. There used to be options for "Above value" and "Below value". I have two new card visuals which I built before I updated to the November version and one new card visual which I built after the update and I cannot get it to match because this option is now missing and the default for the label is "above value".

I have been told that "For the November release, the product team made some changes to the design on the New card, they are by design and not bugs."

I still think it is a bug because one of my coworkers also has the November release and can still see that option. It was an exceedingly useful feature and if it was removed by design, I will be going back to using the old card until this functionality is restored.

    Visuals overlap on Dashboard

I use a lot of overlap on my reports to make it clear and minimize the canvas. Like when I need to show the number and the percent of something, I use a card for one of the values and put it on top of a gauge, then I don't need 2 different visuals side-by-side. This can be done on Reports but not in Dashboards, since they follow a grid. Would also be cool if we could combine two differente visuals in one (multi select then and stick then together)

additional font formatting (bold, italic, underline, etc)

Hi there, I was hoping that the Power BI team could consider bringing additional font formatting options into Power BI. So wherever there is an option to specify font size, colour and so forth, we should also be able to specify other options such as: * Bold * Italic * Underline * Strikeout Also I was wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea to allow users to highlight a specific part of a text to format it, instead of formatting the font for the entire object in question.

We introduced this functionality as of November 2021!

Make more visuals available in the Apple Watch app

Right now only the Card and KPI visuals can be synchronised to an Apple Watch from a dashboard. It looks like there have been no or minimal updates to this functionality since its release in March 2016. Including more visuals and tiles would make the Apple Watch app more useful, and would make it easier to use existing dashboards on the Watch, rather than having to design bespoke dashboards (in our business we don't use the Card or KPI very often.) Support for any or all of the following would be fantastic: - Text boxes - Images - Funnels - Multi-row cards and cards with states - Bar and Column Charts - Line and Area Charts - Tables and Matrices - Pie and Donut Charts - Gauges

    Card

Group multiple cards together to have better visual/KPI groups. Similar like grouping multiple tasks into a single container in SSIS.

Drag and Drop - Custom Visuals too slow

Is it possible to improve de speed of drag and drop of custom visuals? Comparing the performance of Simple Card and Advanced Card, the custom visual is too slow. Futhermore, is not possible to copy and past format (pencil button).

Customize text for "Blank value" in Card visual

I implemented a section in Power BI report to track the invoicing status of vehicles that sold by dealers.

The table behind is just like:

    VehicleID DealerID Status Other Columns

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    1101 1 Stock Some value

    1102 2 Invoiced Some value

    1103 3 Delivered Some value

    1104 2 Invoiced Some value

I added a Card visual that bound to count of VehicleID with filter 'Status = "Invoiced"'

When I select Dealer with 2 as DealerID from slicer, the Card display "2" as expected, but when I choose Dealer with ID "1" or "3", the card just display "(Blank)", which makes no sense to end users.

Surely we can replace the text with measure and some DAX tricks, but if we do so, we will lost drill through functionality (linked by VehicleID column).

If I may suggest, Microsoft could consider add feature that allow user to customize the text displayed for blank value.

Power BI New Card: allow Edit Interactions on a per-card basis

Hi Power BI team, thank you for all your work updating the core visuals in PBI. The new cards are awesome and super powerful. There is one feature that if added would be extremely valuable for us to have:

    Regular Card Visual:

With the regular card visual, it's possible to configure Interactions (click on card visual > Format > Edit interactions) on a per-card basis. In other words, cards can be configured to interact/not interact in response to users clicking around other parts of the report.

    New Card Visual:

In contrast, with the Card (New) visual, when multiple cards have been set up as part of the visual, it's only possible to configure Edit Interactions globally - i.e. one single option is applied to all cards in the visual.

    Desired Behavior:

It would be very nice for each card within the visual to have its own Edit Interactions option. I.e. For a Card (new) visual with 5 cards configured, 5 different Edit Interactions options. We have quite a few reports with a handful of cards in a row where we'd like to replace the regular/existing card visual with the new one, however, we're unable to as several of these cards have differing interactions configured. Currently, it would be required to create several of the new card visuals, which seems clunky as the visuals natively support multiple cards.

This is the last item holding us back from adopting the new cards across the board.

    Thank you!
