    layers for bookmarking

To create bookmarks where one visual may appear to replace another is extremely difficult, especially if you need to make edits. If we can have layers to toggle to show or hide would make it easier to maintain.

Preserve the layer order when creating bookmarks

When I create a bookmark, the layer order from the selection panel should also be preserved within the bookmark

    Bookrmarks - Highlight affected layers

    Hi there,

Are you able to introduce a way so that when you select a single bookmark from the Bookmarks tab that it highlights the affected layers. As an example, it could highlight the affected layers with a Dark Blue colour (just an example - choose any suitable colour!). In regards to Groups of Layers, if the entire Group is affected by the bookmark, it would be dark blue, but if only a subset of the group was affected by the bookmark, it could be light blue with only the affected layers below it highlighted in dark blue.

I love using layers and bookmarks but it is very hard to pick up a PBIX file that I haven't worked on for 6 months and troubleshoot it due to not knowing which layers are affected by which bookmarks.

    Thanks,

    Jason

    Option to highlight selected bookmark

It would improve usability, if we had options to highlight the selected bookmark. If I have, for example, five grey bookmarks and the user selects one of them I want the selected bookmark to become blue. It is always helpful for a user to see, what he is currently looking at. The only way to achieve this at the moment is to add multiple layers of bookmarks, that are invisible and become visible if the bookmark is chosen. This method needs a lot of work and is maintenance heavy. The feature should be easy to implement in the dropdown menu where you can also select the layout options for mouseover or clicking. As Power BI already knows if a bookmark is selected, that should be no problem.

    bookmarks

Make Bookmarks available on VisualUpdateOptions and VisualConstructorOptions interfaces in custom visuals so that developers can extend custom visual functionality. This would include: + Ability to trigger a jump to a bookmark from a custom visual + List existing bookmarks (so that they can be displayed) + Filter bookmarks displayed in the bookmarks window + Create, remove, update and delete bookmarks + Store custom visual settings against a bookmark so that the custom visual responds to bookmark selections. [or allow custom visuals to be responsive to bookmark selections].

    Visual Layering

From a UX design standpoint, it would be nice to have a layers option similar to that found in say Photoshop, Illustrator, or any other graphic design program. The thought behind it would be able to easily select layer ordering, visibility, and locking (i.e. lock down a visual that is on top of another so that it can't be accidentally selected).

    Map layers

Very basic, need an out-of-the-box map feature that allows for multiple layers (e.g. building on one that has latitudes and longitudes, and employee zip codes on a separate layer that uses city names for GIS mapping); this is found in other BI platforms (e.g. Tableau), and in Excel(!)

    Multiple layers on the map

multiple layers on the map I need a map with two layers that show me one layer showing the active clients and the other layer visualizing the clients prospects. In this way, I could see the map of opportunities in a certain region that I have not been working on yet.

unable to change the values in the layer

When using ArcGis Maps it's unable to change the values in the layer and number of layers. It'll be interresting to be able to resize layers according data visualization and to define the wanted numbers of layers. This option will alow to make ArcGis Maps customise.

    Bookmark to trigger other bookmarks

Allow a bookmark to trigger a collection of other bookmarks. Some use cases. Can have one bookmark to control display and another to control data. Then when fired state management is easier. Can have one bookmark that configures an entire pbix report data and display state across pages ready for publishing.
