When users try to access to any POWER BI dashboard, which they don't have access to, it would be nice to custom Pop up to ask them to raise request to access it, instead of generic one.

We need to manage this features at WorkSpace level or tenant level .Some workspace is organisational and user access is given by AAD security groups by an apps .

Will we get an answer on this Idea one day ? This Idea is 3++ years old I have same issue , I want a pop up message saying " contact service desk to be added in this AAD Group : xxxx "

Agreed. I believe hiding the button with a note on how to gain access would be the best approach here as I would still like the ability to inform my users on how to access the application if they are lacking access. For our organization we use a access management application that grants access automatically based on roles or via the manager of the user and being able to define this process and present it to a user when they attempt to access our dashboards/reports would be wonderful.

Here is how my team would use the feature. Managers and others pass along the wrong links when presenting in meetings and thus create a lot of churn for those that don't already have access. Some of our reports are internal only, and some have a much more broad audience. Having a customized module to give a hyperlink to request access or to a public report would save a lot of manual time and effort, especially on some of our high usage reports.

I like to disable for our users to request access, due we handle the access via AAD groups and a ticket system. It also would be great to show them a custom message so the users have the information right away where to request access.

This update is integral to removing clutter from workspace managers' inboxes as well as maintaining security. It is very misleading to users because they, understandably, assume the request access button is the correct way to get access to a dashboard. The interface to set this up for datasets it's so nice and easy, I don't see why this isn't an option for dashboards.

We need this . . . Otherwise we are forced to use a Power Automate flow to redirect users to the company's access website . . .

Agree. This would be very useful. We are looking at utilising our ITSM tool to manage approval of report access (rather than Power BI) and the option to customise the 'Request Access' message to direct users would be extremely beneficial.
