When users try to access to any POWER BI dashboard, which they don't have access to, it would be nice to custom Pop up to ask them to raise request to access it, instead of generic one.

This is my situation exactly. Need to deactivate the request access box!

As shown by the comments prior to this one, this feature is very much need in medium to large org. with any data governance. Currently this allows a lot of people to provide access when none should be granted.

Bumping this request. It has been 3 years; this is really needed in large organizations. Please move this forward.

Is this delivered or not? We really need this ASAP. It looks like possibly a duplicate request was made, and this has been wrongly set to delivered. The request still needs votes, but in Google it is not this page that comes up first - so people are not voting, thinking it has already been done. Check the hit count on the page below, and you'll see it is required quite urgently. For us managing security groups in Azure with a Power App, it is confusing our customers who think by simply requesting access they don't need to take any other action.Allow us to disable "Request Access" at the Power ... - Microsoft Power BI Community

RE: Custom "Request Access" pop up button

We applied RLS on our reports and we instructed users to get approval from their regional directors to access the app however it's hard to control users from clicking request access and abide by the email sent out from our division. So, there are a lot of email piles up to access report and I have to tell each of them to speak with their supervisor to sent out approval in order for them to get access. It becomes my daily routines. If I have option to disable request access feature in power bi it would have been easier to control and apply our internal guidelines.

This feature is definitely needed. It is causing a lot of confusion and even after I explain it, business contacts for dashboards are confused about the different types of access requests coming in (from Power BI and from our workflow we have). I agree it would be helpful to have the ability to direct users to another way to request access instead of allowing them to request access via the service.

I also need that in place of sending a request, people receive instructions about how to gain access (some tekst plus link that I can setup).

Much needed. This is a very annoying oversight.

Yes, we are using Azure groups. Every email I get requires I explain how they have to request a Pro license, and how they have to ask a department head to add them via our Power Apps, not like this.Chop chop Microsoft!
