When users try to access to any POWER BI dashboard, which they don't have access to, it would be nice to custom Pop up to ask them to raise request to access it, instead of generic one.

RE: Custom "Request Access" pop up button
Hi, same problem here. Access to apps is controlled trough AD groups. How many votes does an idea need to be evaluated by Ms PBI?
RE: Custom "Request Access" pop up button
It would be great to be able to take down the individual request in the power BI page and instead redirecting them to a sharepoint, flow, form or bulk approval process.Currently I deal with around 15 access requests a day and I have to add all of them manually. I have the power automate flow for the people that request through a form but the manually adding takes a lot of time, so it would be great to be able to incorporate this part in the approval process as well. Another thing is that the access list we see in the Permissions page is really difficult to edit and to keep up with -- instead we need a proper list with date they were granted access and easy to remove them from the list once they are not allowed to access the reports anymore (like changing functions, etc).
RE: Custom "Request Access" pop up button
I completely agree. We waste so much time dealing with staff requesting access in this way and then routing them to the appropriate channels.
RE: Custom "Request Access" pop up button
100%! We are a fortune 50 company and I am an unapologetic Power BI fan boy. That being said I am the owner of several reports who's access is managed using Active Directory. Dialing in AD is a constant process but in many cases I can apply the 80:20 rule and discourage most Access Requests which a custom message. Please consider giving developers the ability to customize the message presented to users when requesting access!
Thanks!
RE: Custom "Request Access" pop up button
This is absolutely needed! My organization is completely governed by AD groups for data governance. These requests come in (several a day) and we have to respond to every request to fill out a ticket in our ticketing system. To justify Power BI cost, this is a non-value added task.
I would like to see when a user clicks to request access, allow us the following options:
1. Completely disable and display a message to user
2. Display a customizable message where I can specify their next steps to gain access
3. Automatically navigate them to a custom URL (in my case, our ticketing system)
RE: Custom "Request Access" pop up button
A custom option is recently available on datasets, but not for APPS/Workspaces/Reports,....
Please make a custom option available.
RE: Custom "Request Access" pop up button
yes, please implement. It's painful to respond to all the individual requests
RE: Custom "Request Access" pop up button
Any organisation worth it's salt is managing access through AD - at least give us the option!
RE: Custom "Request Access" pop up button
This would be SO HELPFUL. We are using AD Groups for access, and it's a total pain in the butt, and complete waste of time to have to email the user back, telling them they have to request access a different way. I'd be happy if we could just turn off this request feature because no matter how many times we tell users not to request access via powerbi.com, they STILL click "request access" from within Power BI. It's really frustrating.
RE: Custom "Request Access" pop up button
Would be great if a request for access could be customized to provide a link like Pankaj mentions or to advise the requestor to obtain a specific AD group or Identity IQ role that is used to control access to a report/workspace/app. Basically allow the admins of the workspace to configure the response to requests.
