    It's hard to convince colleagues to use Power BI in case they using linux. With a Linux version (ubuntu?) of the Power BI Desktop they would not need to install a VM or similar.

    We are not considering bringing Power BI Desktop to Linux anytime soon; however, we do plan to bring more and more authoring capabilities from Power BI Desktop into the web experience.

    For power Bi to be useful for livestock genetics it needs to be able to support linux

    Data science pretty much means linux with a side of python.. LOL How is this built for data but doesn't run on linux?

    '+1 for PowerBI Ubuntu.

    This could be a big leap for MS if they are able to get it done for the Linux guys
