The ability to display and create Filled Maps (choropleth) using the native SQL Server geometry/geography data types is a must to allow for meaningful geospatial visualization. e.g. Visualize crimes by police beat.

This would certainly be the ideal way to be able to do custom mapping areas for our business which has lots of spacial data.

Spatial data is very important to my organisation and to visualise geometries in PowerBI would be awesome for our users.

Agree, there is no way to visualize the data by the geography/boundaries that define our business. We need to be able to add boundary shapes to the map whether that is by SQL Server geometry data types, GeoJSON, or shapefiles doesn't matter.

The mapping is not powerful at the moment and needs this sort of feature.
