    Support SQL Server Geometry/Geography data types in Power BI

    The ability to display and create Filled Maps (choropleth) using the native SQL Server geometry/geography data types is a must to allow for meaningful geospatial visualization. e.g. Visualize crimes by police beat.

    How about adding a Lasso feature to select a collection of given data points within the map, by drawing the boundaries around the dot's?

    This is currently a big limitation for displaying spatial data. This feature is needed desperately.

    Spatial data support other than just X/Y is absolutely necessary and growing in importance to organizations.
