In order to make Direct query more useful it needs to support data from more than one source.

Composite models, which lets you combine multiple direct query sources in one model along with import sources, is now generally available with our November release: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-november-2018-feature-summary/#compositeModels

I soo need this, multiple live connection is a absolute necessity now.

They should create similar functionality to Power Pivot. In power Pivot you can pull multiple data sources in regardless of type. This would truly simplify some efforts in creating a one stop shop type of report.

We need this feature to join data from various databases rather pulling everything to the single database. Please act and make this a priority for coming release.

Sometimes I do not understand Microsoft.
This feature is really necessary for professional and large company.
This is not "cosmetic" (export excel, powerpoint, filter...)
This is essantial to use PowerBI and cross database.
