Currently one has to either wait or refresh the dataset after updating parameters through the API: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/datasets/update-parameters-in-group If it was possible to change parameters upon publishing the waiting/refreshing could be avoided and potentially save a lot of time.
