When connecting to Power BI datasets using Analyze in Excel, all date fields from models show up in pivot tables as text, which disables filtering or grouping for date groups.
It is possible to fix this or give us a workaround to set columns as date?

To be honest, this feels a lot more like a bug than a feature. Looking forward to the fix.

Any update on delivery time-frame for this fix? Seems like low hanging fruit that will save users a lot of frustration.

This is affecting me also. Using Office 365 version of Excel. Really frustrating that this has been outstanding for almost 3 years! Do you have an update as to when this is planned to be fixed?
