Currently the Filter Pane includes a filter in the "Filter on this visual" for every visual included in a report by default. It is very time consuming to go to each report, click on every visual and then set the hide option for each visual level filter on the Filter Pane.

The ability for the developer to show/hide visual level filter items from the Filter Pane with fewer clicks would be ideal.
This could be accomplished by adding an option to the popup when you click the next to "Filters on this visual" and list it with "Filter pane" Visualizations settings

Need "Hide Visual Level Filters" option on Filters pane

I would suggest to add a report setting that lets the report author switch the default behaviour to "by default hide all visual level filters on filter pane" (similar to cross highlighting option).
Most of the visual level filters are added by default and never used and therefore of no interest for the report consumer.

This is incredibly important.

The visual level filters shown at the top of the filter pane (if not hidden manually by the report author) are often confused (by users) with the report or page filters. Any filter set by mistake on a visual is unnoticed unless the visual is selected again.... This is now a recurrent issue with users that claim that applied filters are not filtering as expected!

This would be a great feature. Right now I need to hide all filters manually. A "Hide all" filter next to "Filters on this visual" would be very welcome. And/or a more general one, Hide Visual level filters on this page/report.

How about adding a toggle to show or hide visual level filters on the Visualizations tab when building a report. That would make it easy to turn visual level filters on or off.

RE: Ability to show/hide visual level filter in Filter Pane with fewer clicks

Yeah this new change killed me. I have client facing reports with near a hundred visualizations. I would much rather 'show' the 2 filters I allow customers to see than have to click into every single visualization to hide every filter but the 2. It worked perfectly for me a month ago when the filter bar was separate from the visualization filters. Also the font changing with the screen scale was bad for me as well. I have a few reports with large canvases so the filter text is too small. I much preferred the filters in the fields section of the visualizations toolbar since they remained always at application scale.
