Dear Microsoft Fabric Community,

I hope this message finds you well. I am an avid user of Power BI and have greatly benefited from its powerful data visualization capabilities. However, I would like to suggest a new feature that I believe would greatly enhance the user experience for Power BI users: the ability to save work without requiring an internet connection.

Currently, Power BI necessitates an active internet connection to save any work done on the platform. This dependency on internet connectivity can sometimes lead to inconvenience, especially in situations where reliable internet access might not be available. Therefore, I'd like to propose the implementation of an offline work saving feature that would allow users to save their progress locally, even without an internet connection.

This offline work saving feature would provide several advantages:

1. **Flexibility in Working Environments:** Users who often work in areas with limited or no internet access would greatly benefit from the ability to save their work locally and synchronize it with the cloud once an internet connection is established.

2. **Data Security and Privacy:** Some users might have concerns about sensitive data being transferred over the internet. An offline saving option could alleviate these concerns by enabling them to keep their data exclusively on their local devices until they choose to sync.

3. **Mitigation of Data Loss:** In situations where an unexpected interruption occurs, such as a sudden loss of internet connectivity or a platform crash, an offline save feature would help prevent the loss of valuable work.

4. **Improved Productivity:** Users could seamlessly transition between online and offline work modes, ensuring that their creative flow isn't disrupted by connectivity constraints.

5. **Remote and Field Work:** Professionals who frequently work in remote locations or in the field, such as sales representatives, would find this feature particularly beneficial, as they often encounter scenarios with unreliable or nonexistent internet access.

I genuinely believe that implementing an offline work saving feature in Power BI would make the tool even more versatile and user-friendly, catering to a wider range of use cases. This enhancement could align Power BI with other productivity tools that offer offline work capabilities.

Thank you for considering my suggestion. I look forward to the continuous growth and improvement of Power BI, and I'm confident that this feature would be a valuable addition to the platform.

Sincerely,

Anish Rajana
