Please add support for Power BI Dashboards to Power BI Report Server.

The team will be investing in the integration of the dashboards and leverage the dashboard platform of Power BI.com as the solution for this scenario

RE: Support dashboards in Power BI Report Server

Does this mean we'll be able to present PowerBI.com hosted dashboards, within Power BI Report Server, without requiring a separate Power BI Pro license (or cloud Premium subscription)?

Though I'd rather not need to send users browser sessions off to PowerBI.com, as part of the idea of using on-prem Power BI Server, is to keep data and reports on-prem.

I do not understand the new Admin comment.... Does that mean it will only work on cloud ? If yes why do we sell us an on-premise version if it is not improving in the same way - the whole idea being not to be on cloud ? If no, could someone clarify the comment ?
Also very disappointed!

RE: Support dashboards in Power BI Report Server

I agree with some previous posts that I am very disappointed with this decision. I think there is a lack of understanding that a lot of organisations are no where near ready to put their data in the cloud.

The lack of dashboards in the on-premise version restricts you to very basic reports and not enterprise level ones that can link well together.

Think of your customers for this product!

RE: Support dashboards in Power BI Report Server

Horrible decision - that will cease us moving forward with this product. Whats the point of having an onprem solution that puts the dashboard in the cloud ? Moronic. Why even provide the on prem solution if its going to be this half assed. This is of zero help for situations where data protection requires prevents publishing data outside our network. What a joke.

RE: Support dashboards in Power BI Report Server

SO the number 1 feature request for "PowerBI Report" server gets declined .... was it getting a bit too high on the list so you had to hide it ?

It says a lot about a company when they decline to implement the most voted end user feature request for the product.

Sorry Microsoft but you are not listening to your customers. do you really think world wide databases of confidential data will ever go to the cloud? if you don't want to be in this business just close doors and stop wasting other people's time!

RE: Support dashboards in Power BI Report Server

For me as a BI consultant and implementation partner this is very disappointing news. In the US the situation might be different, but here in Europe still many companies and especially public authorities simply cannot push their data to the cloud. It is not an option.

This lack of functionality is a big handicap when it comes to consulting potential BI customers.

Really hope you will re-consider your decision!

RE: Support dashboards in Power BI Report Server

So basically you're saying the on-prem solution is dead " team’s plan is to invest integration with Power BI.Com integration"
This is a shocking revelation, but seems to correlate with the half-baked releases of late

Unhappy with this as a strategy
