Would be great if we had a notes area of the Dashboard for people to leave comments or questions about the content on the Dashboard. Same would be true for the PowerView Reports, except have them rollup in the Dashboard area.

RE: Ability to add Feedback or Questions on Dashboard

It would be key to be able to add comments/start conversations over specific datapoints in dashboards' widgets or reports elements. I think of this as Power BI Annotations since it would enable users to start a conversation about very specific data by placing the annotation directly over the datapoint. It would behave similarly to comments in Youtube videos, where users can decide where to place them and hide or show them. Then for each annotation features such as conversations, links, attachments and so on could be added. This functionality is key for meaningful data analysis in distributed teams.

It would be great. Though it'd be ideal to have this feature activated for Power BI embedded environment as well at the same time.

I want to ensure this feature makes it to Power BI Embedded as well at the same time as other versions of Power BI.

RE: Ability to add Feedback or Questions on Dashboard

Very important to be able to have a conversation about a report (or even better a data point) so that the collaboration can happen without everyone being online. When you have people from different time zones this is even more important. Also when the next person comes in they can see what discussions have happened. Best if it is on a snapshot (interactive report with slicers set)

While waiting for the final solution, integrating Power BI with Microsoft Teams makes a nice collaborative sort of setup: it's no pain, and the more conservative customers like it.

Embedding social into analytics dashboards is essential. How about native support for embedding Power Bi into Yammer ?

It would be great if you fused in some functionality from Cortana. Say a senior staff asks a question, Cortana should suggest a answer which you could either verify, alter or discard and enter one manually.

We are new PowerBI users and being able to comment and collaborate are vital to making the product work for us. Has there been any updates to this thread?

Besides displaying great information, we need to share comments on the spot.
How can we have this feature rolling in Dashboards and Reports? It is very important.
