Although Alt Text is a great feature for accessibility, it is very time consuming to set-up dynamic Alt text using measures. It would be great if we could incorporate the AI natural language intelligence which Smart Narratives produces, and have this as an option to select AI for Alt Text.
In the same that we can edit and tweak the narratives produced by the Smart Narratives visual, it would be great if this feature extended into setting up Alt Text so that we can edit the narrative produced.
The major benefit of this is that it would reduce the time barrier for people configuring meaningful Alt Text for the visuals, and would create a much better experience for those report users relying on screen readers. As the technology and algorithms are already created for the Smart Narratives visual, this feature would be a great addition to make sure that Power BI remains accessible for all and an efficient storytelling tool.
