This is primarily only an issue with tiles that have one data source, such as slicers.
The Aim: You have created the perfect looking slicer. But now you want to slice on a different category. Or you want to copy the slicer (keeping formatting) and then change the data and title.
Secondary AIM: You created a R Visual wrote a the code etc. but now want to use a different data set. Currently: You copy it and then slowly remove and add data until you get the data you want. But its time consuming.
The issue: once you remove the data from the slicer/R Visual/tile, it vanishes. Then you have to start again.
The format Painter - could fix this but It is currently limited. It does not for example add a title if the source had one. Since you likely only want Format to effect formatting this might not be a good idea.
ideas:
In the Ribbon have a "ancor/keep option for the tile. Under "Format"?
Could also be under the "more options" on the tile.
Could have a Copy theme button (which includes titles, headers etc)?
