If it is possible please provide the multiple columns sort . For example I want to sort the table visualization based on Priority and severity

This has been implemented for tables as of March 2020:

We're well aware, however, that more can be done to improve its discoverability--as well as to extend support for the feature to other visuals (like the matrix). Keep an eye out for future developments!

RE: Add a multiple columns sort feature

Yep we need this. Sorting in Power Query editor isn't the best either, not when the table visual contains fields from multiple tables. Unless I have to restructure my things and merge queries in Power Query, JUST to sort by date, then a column, then another column...

Need to be able to sort by Year then Business Unit but the way I want it is not alphabetical. Why can't I drag/drop like in a pivot table?

RE: Add a multiple columns sort feature

A kind request to embed the functionality of having a plain row number / index column that is not affected by sorting or anything in the visual, just goes from 1, 2, 3 and on

Perhaps scope creeping, but is dependent on column sorting and more or less impossible to create a dax for if there are several columns that can be sorted on i a table or matrix.

Would be great if it could be picked in the same go as it should only be a visual effect on the table and matrix.

Has to be done this complicated and crazy-work-aroundish way today:
