It can be unwieldy to manage measures and columns, especially when custom measures and columns are built on top of other measures and columns. It would be helpful to have a [Where Used] option to provide a list of visuals and/or columns/measures where a particular column is used. That way you can delete unneeded measures/columns without worrying about breaking everything.

I have been asked to optimize a report that was created by someone who has moved on from this team. Something like this would be an enormous help in figuring out which columns I can safely remove. Without it, the work is very manual and extremely time-consuming.

Sure would be helpful. Or, at minimum, some icon or highlighting on columns and measures to indicate they're used elsewhere - either in other measures/columns or in visuals. When you select a visual, it shows what columns/measures are used. I really hoped I could just 'select all' and see all columns in use. But it just deselects everything in that column view when you select more than one visual.
I have very low hopes of this being addressed, given how old this idea is.

It would also be nice to have Search functionality within PowerBI, so you can search in all the Dax where measures/etc. are used, so you know all the places where you need to adjust something

The bigger a project grows, the more I wanted to have a list of all report where a field (column) is used. Also this function will be helpful when I need to review other project members' work.

It looks like it has been 2 years since this suggestion was shared and there is still no resolution.
I would like to see this addressed ASAP as it is very useful and is very inconvenient to not have this feature

I agree, and to go a step further...
I would like to be able to do this in the Power BI Service, at the workspace level (or even the tenant level) -- to show a list of all reports where a field is used. For each occurrence of the field, what report is it in? What report page? Where on that report page -- which visualization...or, is it in a report- or page-level filter?
Because I have a workspace with over 100 reports, all based on one dataset, but created by many users. Say in the underlying dataset I remove a field, or change the name of the field. Now, I need to know all the places where the update needs to be made.
