    Don't require administrator rights to install desktop

    I don't know if this is possible or not, but it would great if Power BI Desktop did not require administrator rights to install or update the program. My IT department has some computers tied down pretty tight, and this is going to require frequent visits on a regular basis to update.

    Or can this update be "rolled" out on a recurring schedule by IT?

    Yes you can download and install Power Bi Desktop from Microsoft Store without using admin privileges.

    Yes or may be a portable zip package will help alot.

    You can apparently download from windows store. Not tried it myself but you don't need admin right
