Thank you for adding the linear trend line, however Power BI would be much more powerful with additional trend line functionality. We would love to see advanced options such as polynomial, exponential and logarithmic trend lines.

Essentially the trend line functionality from excel would be perfect

This would be a super addition, and I'm surprised that it's not yet been developed. Here's to hoping that this gains some traction.

Really need this for continued use of the program

Is there an ETA for this feature ? The addition of these trendline would be very helpful as well as the formula, R2, forcast period too.

In addition to this, it would be useful if you could add trendlines to the combo visual (line and column/bar) for the line on the second Y-axis. I recently added a 30 day moving average line to a line and stacked column visual in power bi by using DAX measures but carrying out the same functionality in Excel is a couple of clicks (add trendline, change period to 30 days).

I recall this feature being added in September 2016 and I was using it as recently as March 2017. Then, sometime after that the functionality was taken out. It doesn't seem to be there in the January 2018 build. Can anyone offer insight into if/ when this feature will be reintroduced?

Please, please, please recreate the trend line functionality we have for charts in Excel. Would love to have a moving average or polynomial option (as would our users)!

The trend line option is good but it could be better ! Now it is too basic, maybe more options as "Show trend equation" and options of trend line calculation (exponential, polynomial...)

[I am using Power BI last release on 4th January,2018.
What's more, I am french so my text can hide some mistakes]

I agree with this post, this would be a quick and easy fix!

while this is still open, I've posted a very basic version Excel-TREND-function for PBI here: http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Formula-for-trendline/m-p/86449/highlight/false#M36271 (can toggle number of Intervalls, but no individual slope and intercept)
