for scatter plots, conditional formatting, and line plots, enable data viz to have a legend that is a color scale gradient

for example,
1) in scatter plot using saturation, we should have a legend that indicates what the darker and lighter colors represent
2) same goes for conditional formatting in tables and matrices
3) line charts without a field in the "legend" bucket (i.e. line charts represented by a single line) should be eligible for a line graph that has its color change according to a gradient as the value increases or decreases (e.g. a line graph that plots a growth rate could have green as positive growth and red as negative growth)

What's key here is that the legend shows the gradient, which means the max, min, and perhaps a few other points (e.g. middle) would be called out with their numeric value in the legend.

RE: color scale legend

It would be preferable to have color legends for all charts, especially for the shape map.

RE: color scale legend

Legend for Color Saturation is required in whichever chart is applicable.

RE: color scale legend

Color Legend (or color scale) to identify the variable and the values range applied in color saturation with scatter plot and others visuals will be very helpful

The gradient scale for the color legend will also help remove/decrease the limitation of the number of categories plotted on a line chart for example. I have a need to view all lines (within the line chart) of the selected data to surface the most common trend/s.

'+1. I'm using shape maps. A color scale legend is essential for presentation.

A great example of this, using date as the colour gradient, can be seen here: https://www.accountingweb.co.uk/tech/tech-pulse/coding-for-accountants-training-a-machine-learning-algorithm
