Now when we export data from matrix visual in PBI Desktop to an Excel file - the 'Total' row does not get exported to Excel though that is visible in PBI Desktop. Please fix it.

You can perform formatted export to Excel and PDF including the totals and subtotals using Inforiver. Check out this video. You also have extensive Excel-like cell, row and column formatting which gets preserved on export.

Yes please allow the total to be exported as well. It'll surely reduce a lot of time in adding the totals in excel and then analyzing the data.

Yes, remove the dependency on Report Builder/SSRS for custom exports. It doubles the amount of work!
Please add xml that will allow users to export formats, too. This feels like a fundamental feature on many levels. Two that come to mind is 1) PBI and Excel are MS products! 2) Excel is generally (largely) compatible with >50% of the apps in existence (even outside of MS), but not really with a Microsoft Business Intelligence app.
There are gaps and there are canyons.
Create a poll in the blog or in the Power BI subreddit for this so that developers don't have to come here to find it.

Exporting to excel should be provided for grandtotals and subtotals being both are microsoft products i'm not sure how come Microsoft does not provide such a simple excel future when SSRS is able to provide the same, we can't have two different products for one report,Adding this will provide business users an ability to get the data as is what they see on the screen

please enable this - this is really critical otherwise really defeats the purpose of powerbi when we use measures to compute complex aggregations
