I have volumes of information to share with my teams that is best presented in tables and matrices. It would be a huge improvement if they were able to export the data from the visualizations and have the formatting in Excel match the formatting created within PowerBI.

This would be especially helpful for ongoing forecasting activities.

Clients are stick on Qkliview only because of this ability... I am waiting for 3 year to export briliant matrixs to Excel to my clients and I am doing flows, tiles and etc instead... I had had it

W

This is an import feature required by our users. We are using Qlikview(BI tool) and while downloading the Pivot table from Qlikview visualization to Microsoft Excel it is showing the same format. The Power BI and Excel both are Microsoft tools hence I don't think so to provide this feature is a challenge for Microsoft.

W

Can you please make this a top priority. It's tiring and time consuming having to find other solutions to generate reports for end users in excel every month, since that's the only format they accept.

Redundantly adding my voice to thousands of others eagerly awaiting this feature.

Please provide an update on expected release. Thanks

See BI Helper Matrix - Chrome extension to export matrix and table visuals in Power BI to Excel. Retains visual formatting and matrix data pivots. Works with all tables and 2 x 2 (row x column) matrix drill-downs.

Can't edit my initial comment.

Need to add: Adding a Report Builder (paginated report) visual is not the solution. Sure, maybe a workaround. I would think that the needs of most companies can be met w/out having to develop the dashboard and a paginated report.

Copy/export the matrix (and formatting) to excel.

Excel is, by far, the most used app in the world for data analysis. How is that this functionality hasn't been in Power BI since inception? I mean, there are gaps and there are glaring omissions. It's safe to go with common sense on this one.

Can we please get more than a generic backlog status update? This lack of functionality/interoperability has significantly hindered our report migration.

Hi, Any updates to this? Release Wave 2 was scheduled from October 2020 to March 2021?
