I have volumes of information to share with my teams that is best presented in tables and matrices. It would be a huge improvement if they were able to export the data from the visualizations and have the formatting in Excel match the formatting created within PowerBI.
This would be especially helpful for ongoing forecasting activities.

Absolutely need this feature. Currently all the visually appealing and helpful formatting from tables is destroyed when exporting to excel.

Also agree this is a much needed feature. It adds more flexibility to consumers to play around with their own calculations in Excel without needing to mess around in PowerBI.

Definitely needed! How is it possibile that Microsoft does not develop this request? In many many cases data are to be exported and managed differently and for different purposes: being obliged to say to a customer "you can only look at them, not use as you like" makes Power BI an extremely limited tool!
Also in many cases (like ALL of our reports) the data shown in the matrix are generated by very complicated calculation that are possible to PowerBI but absolutely not possible for tools like Excel if starting from the original dataset.

OMG !!! Posted from 2016 and still, it's not available. This would be a great thing to be added as a feature to Power BI

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a workaround other than exporting it yourself and creating a matrix in Excel yourself. Very time consuming and it's disappointing that it's only possible by upgrading to Premium and using the paginated reports. Unfortunately third party solutions like Power BI Robots can't do this either.
Come on Microsoft, this would make the quality of life when using Power BI so much better.

Everyone vote as much as possible to put this on the top of the ideas. Maybe when its the top voted idea will they see we need this feature and understand how much we all want this.
