I have volumes of information to share with my teams that is best presented in tables and matrices. It would be a huge improvement if they were able to export the data from the visualizations and have the formatting in Excel match the formatting created within PowerBI.

This would be especially helpful for ongoing forecasting activities.

One of the biggest problems with exporting the data at the moment is that when you have a drill down or cross tab type report, the data being exported is actually not what you see on screen. It's un-pivoted in the case of a cross tab and down to the lowest level of detail in a drill down. In the case of percentages which are calculated on the fly, it makes it unusable even in a pivot table in excel.

RE: Allow Table and Matrix Data Exports to Match PowerBI Visual

It is always the first questions in my Power BI trainings - if it is possible to copy/paste the underlying data into Excel? So now it is only possible to see them in a table (show data), which is very cool, but it would be great to copy them from this table directly to Excel to do further calculations. CSV export doesn't work very properly with SSAS live connections.

I manage a report team that provides information toa sales Department (aprox.100 people), at all levels of the hierarchy. They all want dashboards, but also the data in excel to make some analysis of their own. This feature is very important, or we will have in many cases to stick to excel based reports.

Please, please tell me this is coming soon. Please!

I currently am rolling out Power BI and people really like the look of the report in the service but when they export it to excel it completely changes the look of it. Also being able to export to PDF would be great.

This feature really helps the customer to get the exact view in excel as in power bi, to proceed their task further.

As Mike notes on Wade's comment, ditto for our company. We'd really appreciate a solution given Microsoft owns the whole suite in scope for this requested feature.

This is the #1 most complained about issue with our Power BI implementation. Every time my users go to export data to excel they escalate to me and tell me Power BI has a bug and isn't working. I have to explain to them that this is "As Intended", though this is far from what I intend this functionality to do
