Make it faster to create measures and columns (get rid of "working on it")

Currently whenever you go to create a new measure or a column, Power BI desktop pops up a message "working on it" which if you have a complex / large model takes several minutes before you can even enter the new measure / column.

Also if you make a syntax error and press enter then (even though Power BI knows it is an error) it still tries to process the new measure (again taking several minutes) before you can correct the syntax error.

Can we get rid of the time needed to "work on it" when creating a new measure or column and just simply present the box to enter the measure and can you syntax check before processing the new measure and at least put a warning up with an option to correct the syntax before processing it?
