Option to allow dynamic axes on charts - allow an option in chart setup to allow the axies to change dynamically based on the values within - the start and end of an axis are fixed, despite values changing when filters are applied

RE: dynamic axis scaling
Really need this ASAP!
RE: dynamic axis scaling
this is really basic stuff and needed ASAP please
RE: dynamic axis scaling
It would be awesome to have this dynamic feature on y axis so we could highlight smaller variances better!
RE: dynamic axis scaling
Very much wanting this!
RE: dynamic axis scaling
Currently y axis Start end End values have to be entered manually. I need an option to enter a measure as start / end value.
RE: dynamic axis scaling
This feature is much needed for the waterfall chart. Without it you can't really tell what is going on as you change time perspective.
RE: dynamic axis scaling
I have created a working solution of this in Excel - VBA, which allows the graph to keep its focus on the variance between the 20th and 80th percentile. If you have a monstrous number the values between zero and the lower bounds of your data really mean nothing for analysis.
RE: dynamic axis scaling
I agree. This kind of crap is what makes me want to go to Tableau. We have both in-house. Two years in and still no comment from MS regarding this.
RE: dynamic axis scaling
When can we expect this feature on Power BI?
RE: dynamic axis scaling
Just to add more details to my earlier points below, the dynamic y axis only works for Line Charts. That is, if you use combo charts with column and line graphs, only the line chart will dynamically scale as you drill down.
So if I'm at the highest level using column chart and manually adjust the scale to start from 300 million, to help reveal trends between 300 to 400 Million, then if drill down into smaller region amounts, the y-axis still starts at 300 Million which means I can't see the data below this value.
Whereas, if I use a line chart, manually adjust the start value, then drill down, the axis will dynamically reset.
Not sure why Line Chart behaviour can't be replicated with other types of charts?
