There is currently a data source for Asana available in the web/O365 version of Power BI, however this source is not available to create from within Power BI desktop. This creates a limitation where no changes can be made to the source columns and you cannot edit the query in any way.
It would be nice to be able to start with Asana from within Power BI Desktop and allow for adding calculated columns and other query edits. This might also allow pulling in the data from custom fields.

Still not seeing any connector to Asana from Power BI. Is this still an issue?

In order to get insightful metrics from Asana, we have to be able to import all fields from the Asana platform and be able to transform/manipulate the data which is not currently an option. Please consider adding Asana as a data source to provide more robust tools for reporting using Asana data.
