Ability to select multiple items in a chart say multiple bars, pie's etc and automatically have filters applied to all the existing reports. this helps to highlight anomalies and see all the surrounding reports changes as we do it and showcase risks/opportunities

As of the February update, we now support cross-highlighting across multiple visuals! You can read the details in my blog post: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-february-2018-feature-summary/#crosshighlight

Ditto on Michael Shparber comment:

Wait, guys, @Kim, just make sure it also covers the scenario where I want to click on MULTIPLE charts without it cancelling the previous selection! Let's say I click on a bar chart that shows Months and select a bar for May, then, I click on a pie for Products and select "Bicycles".
All the data should now be filtered of May + Bicycles (without me having to select anything additionally in slicers).

ctrl+clicking items is not good for user experience.

'@George John

This isn't similar to the idea you have give the link for. That other idea lets drill-down (in the same chart) and filter in other charts at the same time. This idea lets you you filter across other charts my selecting multiple values in multiple charts.

This is one of the biggest deficiencies when comparing to other tools such as Tableau, since there is really no workaround
