There`s a know issue with Power BI opening multiple connections to Oracle Database and not closing them after the refresh is done.
The community has come with some alternate solutions, like manually refreshing or rebooting the servers/gateways, which are not ideal.
Also, The Report Server opens too many connections to the database, even more than 1 per query. Even when disabling the parallel loading does not seen to work.
The idea would be to:
- Make it possible to limit the number of connections
- Make it possible to disable the parallel loading
- Fix the issue with maintaining the connections open
