It would be very useful if Power BI allow to export charts directly to excel without lose the format. Exporting just like values with format.

RE: Export charts directly to excel

Power BI is an amazing solution that falls short in this area. Competing BI Tool exports products have been doing pixel perfect formatted exports well for many years. Why Power BI Table and Matrix Visualizations cannot export to Excel and retain the styles, fonts, formatting, colors. etc. is very perplexing as both products and the visualizations are all owned by Microsoft. Apparently this functionality is not on the roadmap. Microsoft should be leaders in this space. imo this shouldn't need to be voted on, please just put it on the roadmap for at least these two visualizations. Thanks.

I implemented it using PowerBi embedded solution. My web app had a powerBi embedded report and returned the Excel pivot table, which look exactly like matrix, when users exported the data from matrix visuals to Excel. The web app took the exported data and built the Excel pivot table using ClosedXML nuget package.

We use PBI to visualize student assessments and use colour to represent at or above grade level so we know where to direct resources. Exporting the tables to a spreadsheet with the colours makes for easy printing. This feature would be amazing!

Agree. I need this feature for many reports to avoid rebuilding the exported tables in excel.

Exporting the format along with the underlying data will remove lot of manual works on excel after exporting .

This is a must for lot of our customers. Ee cannot pre-format an excel sheet and connect it to the dataset because users apply filters and dig the data in power bi, then export it to excel for sharing results.

RE: Export charts directly to excel

This is still a much needed feature from the organization, people want to be able to export the data and pass it on to their peers without the issue of them having to create a pivot from the data.

It needs to look "AS IS" in the Table / Matrix when being exported, or at least have the option to export it like that.

RE: Export charts directly to excel

Many customers complain because the subtotals and totals don't export from a table / matrix. This needs to be addressed.
