Option to have Dynamic report level expressions/DAX for any column

Hi Team,



We should have an option for adding Dynamic expression/DAX at report level.

Like if there is any Text column and we need to display sub string from the text, then we can do this at report level by adding DAX per report basis but not saving these expression on the dataset itself.



Currently we need to save all these custom expressions on the dataset level and then use them at the report level.



This will provide more dynamic report creation options, otherwise we are restricted to the expressions/columns available at dataset level.
