Power BI leads the user to believe it is possible to export summarized data at the level of the current view. In fact, the result of [Matrix grid] > Ellipsis > Export data is that data is exported at the lowest level of the drill-down path.
In one case, I am viewing 4 rows of data in my matrix grid (drilled up to the top level of the data hierarchy). When I export to xlsx, i get over 15,000 rows of data (summarized at the lowest level of my data hierarchy).
Users should be able to export data at the level they are currently drilled down to on their report.

This really needs to be resolved: if summarized in a matrix then "export as summarized" should be the current visualization displayed. So if summarized (not drilled down) then Excel gives as displayed in Power BI view. Else if drilled down and or filtered you get what is visualized in Power BI View in Excel.

This is a top request from users. They want to export the data that matches exactly at the level they see in the chart at the drill-up level. For example, if the chart displays at monthly level, users expect to download/export data at the monthly level, not at daily. Currently it is frustrating, because even if the chart can be viewed at daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual level, when users export data they always get daily level. Way too much detail and not matching what they see, so they need to then summarize again in Excel. This does not make intuitive sense.

Hi,
We need this definitely - users are confused - 90% wants to export aggregated result while other 10% needs the detailed data. This could be added as the matrix visual property with the extra switch in the "more options" menu. I would be also happy if possible to bound this feature with the bookmark so I could let users to change the export option with the button.

How is this not a thing in 2020? What is the point of all the nice visuals if you cant pull the aggregated data? If i am looking at a visual that aggregated daily data by month (very cool) why does it only export daily data? This creates work that Power BI has already done for me. This defeats the purpose of Power BI, in my opinion.
