Recommend using the approach of a utility feature of the Power BI app that allows users to "build" a URL by selecting desired parameters. The resulting links should be one for embedding into a page, and another that could be used to email to a user.
we want to be able to call a specific report's page through embedded URL call
Upvote on this one. This is so basic thing to be done yet it's highly necessary!
This pageName option should be one of the basic requirements.
@Luke McManagan - this feature (& described in the microsoft docs URL you provided) does not work / is not supported on Power BI Report Server (i.e. on-premises) edition of Power BI. It would be great if this same querystring parameter also worked for PBIRS.
Hi All, this feature has already been provided - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-embed-secure#customize-your-embed-experience-using-url-settings
This has been a requested feature for 3 years. Would love to hear back from the development team as to why this can't be implemented.
Support for something like "rs:pageName=MyPage" on the querystring for Power BI Report Server (on-premises) would be fantastic - sad that it's missing.
Hello.
We need such possibility.
URL for specfic TABS and also selections. This is the number one complain about why people here will not use PowerBI versus other tools . Toooooo many repeat clicks to get to the same view point
