I can copy the visual either as image or data table and paste it in other applications.

March 2022 Update: We are looking into this

We recently released the ability to export data from tiles and visuals to a CSV file. This may work for y'all as a workaround until we add the ability to directly copy and paste the visual or data. You can read more about it here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/powerbi/archive/2016/01/06/power-bi-service-update-0106.aspx#exportTile. Be sure to let us know what you think about the feature!

Similar to comment below, would request an update for 'planned' from two years ago. Also, the included link is another idea bucket for the same feature request.
Could you provide an update for this feature, please? Thanks.

??STILL PLANNED??

C'mon here. Several thousand votes for copy/paste, 2 years or more of constant user requests, and yet still the monthly updates don't include this??

This is very surprising to me that it is not implemented already. If we have users consuming reports, they need to be able to copy and paste IDs, data, etc to explore in source systems without typing it out

It still does not suffice. When will we be able to Right click > Copy data from a table or visual? It is a MUST the users need on a daily basis.

RE: Copy/paste the data behind the visual in Power BI to other applications

I'm not sure Microsoft understand this common usage scenario. The old statement in data/BI, that every answer raises a new question, is as true as ever. At some point, another system (e.g. the source system) needs to be consulted and/or the "answer" needs to be copied into something else (or even an email, etc). At this point it's a complete productivity killer, not to mention error prone, to have to retype values manually due to the lack of a "Copy" option.

We have users who now build reports in other competing tools simply because of the lack of this feature and the productivity hit it causes.

For me, basic "Copy" functionality should have been part of the functionality of every visual. Quite amazing really that three years after the initial previews of the product, it is still completely missing.

I'm currently having to visually copy data into other applications. The 'export' functionality is too slow, I need to be able to copy directly from a dashboard/report.

It's hard to successfully pitch a product when we have to add caveats like, "No, there is no copy/paste" and "No, you can't print"

The inability to copy data out of a cell is a show stopper for many of my use cases.
