I can copy the visual either as image or data table and paste it in other applications.

March 2022 Update: We are looking into this

We recently released the ability to export data from tiles and visuals to a CSV file. This may work for y'all as a workaround until we add the ability to directly copy and paste the visual or data. You can read more about it here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/powerbi/archive/2016/01/06/power-bi-service-update-0106.aspx#exportTile. Be sure to let us know what you think about the feature!

RE: Copy/paste the data behind the visual in Power BI to other applications

Hi Team :)
If this feature is implemented, I'd like to see some control on the Dashboard owner side, to allow/disallow the feature, as well as be able to track who has downloaded the data, and what data they have downloaded, and when. This is useful as our dashboards are Microsoft confidential.
Thank you :)

Kelly

I'd love to have this available - we're using Power BI to present some of the customer feedback that we've gathered for our site, and having the copy/paste (as text, not as image) feature is essential to making the report useful.

Excel allows you to copy data in a table, if power BI can at least allow copy from a table directly, it will be great.

It would be great if I could copy a report page created on PowerBI.com back to the desktop report the data originated from.

SQL customers need to copy, transform, edit, execute suspect SQL statements from their audit log using Power BI for investigating a security issue.

RE: Copy/paste the data behind the visual in Power BI to other applications

A user needs to be able copy the content and paste to excel from a table or matrix report, At least in a “flat” excel sheet without the underlying data. As a matter of fact the “flat” excel sheet is preferable as we do not necessarily want users access to al details. At a very minimum these reports should open up in excel or pdf format.

This will also enable printing and sharing of such a report.

Please let us know if this is coming as without that we probably need to use a different reporting tool
